With a successful track record across multiple industry sectors, he has a unique combination of skills in strategic planning, fundraising, commercialisation, operational execution and relationship building.

But what truly stands out is his passion as the Founder & Facilitator of the Regional Angel Investor Network (RAIN) and his commitment to changing lives, driving prosperity, and delivering societal benefit through startups. 

Born in Iraq, Sam came to Australia as an eight year old refugee, and spent eight months in the Villawood detention centre, learning English and then acting an an interpreter to other refugees.
